Thank you for using the MIX program, version MIX 1.7. If this is the first time you are using the program, please read the Quick Start Guide carefully.

MIX 1.7 contains fixes of a calculation bug of heterogeneity tests for Mantel-Haenszel odds ratios, shows the beginning of the new interface of 2.0 and includes additional features such as a quality effects model. MIX is slowly but surely becoming more sophisticated, which also means you have to be more careful with what you are doing. Please use MIX together with good books and articles on meta-analysis!

The back-bone of version 1.7 is the same as of version 1.61 and therefore the start-up is still slow and there are many things that could run better. Although I am working on version 2.0, which runs much faster, I decided I did not want to introduce too many new bugs and I used 1.61 as a 'template' for 1.7. Please be patient and keep sending me feedback with your wishes for version 2.0.
